A much younger Lucy and E90M3, circa 2010.
Lucy was put down today; after 14 years she breathed her last. She had really gotten bad in the past few months, over Easter weekend she had trouble even getting up. I’m not much of a dog person, but I loved that dog.
Goodbye Lucy, I’ll forever miss you.

That’s real tough. A bad time to lose a dog too, when their companionship is so needed during this time of isolation. My dog Kobe has been s uccombing to an aggressive nasal cancer and he has had a very rough week; I really hope he makes it a little longer.

I’m saddened for your loss. I’ve lost a few pets (and people) in my 60-odd years so can feel your pain. But. Your post ing about this also reminds me to appreciate the 2 kittehs I have now all the more. I got up and found them for a little pet and to tell then thanks for being in my life before I wrote this. Damnit, it’s awful dusty in here.

Sorry to hear, losing pets is so rough. Looks like she was around for a good chunk of your childhood/teenaged years? Such a formative period, I’m sure she’ll be in your thoughts forever.
We have a dog and 3 cats, and a 23 month old human. It’s amazing seeing just how attached she is to them already, and how attached they are to her. They’ll probably start passing around the time the kid is 10ish (pray not sooner) - I’m already dreading for how sad it’s going to be .

I know how you feel. The last time I had a pet that passed away, it was my last cat who got hit by a car in front of my house... on my birthday no less!

We got her when I was 16 and I’m 30 now, so yeah, she was around for half of my teenage years and all of my 20s. I don’t think I can ever forget her.
